What Is Rihanna's Fee For Performing At Anant Ambani's Pre-Wedding Bash?
Rihanna was spotted arriving in Jamnagar alongside her partner, A$AP Rocky, with her luggage making waves even before her arrival. The Daily Mail also highlighted the Ambani family's penchant for hosting star-studded events, referencing Beyoncé's performance at Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal's wedding in 2018, which also incurred significant costs.
Reports suggest that Rihanna's set for the event will be grand, featuring a medley of her popular songs and solo hits like Diamonds. A substantial portion of the expenses for her performance reportedly went into transporting her stage equipment and organising outfit changes for her and her background singers.
Rihanna's last major performance was at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, which attracted close to 121.017 million viewers, solidifying her status as a global music icon. It's worth noting that Rihanna is not the first international artist to grace an Ambani wedding stage; Beyoncé performed at Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal's sangeet in 2018, rumoured to have been paid close to $4 million (approximately Rs 33 crore) for her appearance.
Besides Rihanna, Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh entertained guests at the extravagant event, while world-renowned illusionist David Blaine's act was also a major highlight of the pre-wedding festivities.
The star-studded guest list includes a plethora of Bollywood celebrities, such as Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Salman Khan, among others. Notable personalities from various fields, including business tycoons like Bill Gates and Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, are also expected to grace the occasion, alongside renowned cricketers and politicians.
